Fall Conflict

Parents and Players-

We need to be able to set a schedule of games that the majority of players can attend.  The last thing we want is to get on the bad side of tournament and league directors.  We have a great relationship with organizations and tournament directors around the state because we are organized and follow through on our commitments.

Please complete this conflict form BY MONDAY, September 21 so we can continue having the strong reputation that follows our teams.  In addition, some coaches will be selecting their practices on Wednesday, Sept 23.  We would like to them to consider your child’s fall sports when choosing times so please make sure this is completed on time.

When games are scheduled and times are set… we follow through and show up!  Please make your “yes be yes and your no be no”.  The team is counting on you and your commitment!

The majority of our games will be played in the local Oregon Amateur Basketball fall league (www.oregonamateurbasketball.net).  Please recognize that OAB is a very beneficial fundraiser for high school programs.  OAB does charge a $5 admission price.  Games will be posted on the OAB website the Wednesday prior to the weekend.  We will also send out a copy of the game schedule to parents at that time.

Fall Conflicts

If you are currently playing another sport/activity, you can still participate in fall basketball. We believe your in-season sport (Volleyball, Soccer) takes priority and strongly desire to see multi-sport participation. When parents are organized and communicate in advance we have been able to work around "in-season" sports to make it so youth can do both. This form is to help us determine the best game schedule and practice schedule for players.
If you are available every day after school do not check any boxes
  • If you are unavailable please explain the time frame, reason, and details of the conflict. (Example: Soccer Practice M-TH 3:30-5pm)
If you are available every day do not check any boxes. We will choose which days to play our games according to the majority. We may play multiple games in one day. We prefer to give families one day a weekend with no games (ex. only play on Saturday and take Sunday off) but this depends on people's schedule too. Some weekends we may take off all together.
  • If you are unavailable or maybe unavailable please explain the time frame, reason, and details of the conflict. (Example: Volleyball games that day, times unknown)
We prefer and understand most families and teams desire to stay in town during the off-season. However, some parents & teams like seeing a variety of regional competition and understand that happens when you travel. We would like parents to weigh in on where they stand on this. TRAVELING IS AN OPTION! We can play all our games in Eugene/Springfield but understand that you are more likely to see repetitive teams.
  • If you would like to comment further please feel free to do so.
  • Absences that arise after completing this form...

TRBO requires a high level of commitment. All potential conflicts must be listed on the conflict form prior to the season to the best of their ability. If things “come up” they must be communicated a week prior to the team event. A week gives the coach time to adjust, find more players (if necessary), reschedule games (if necessary) and prepare the team for your child's absences. Inside a week, we have very limited options available. Consequences will be enforced should a absence not be communicated within a week.

If anything changes to this form please notify your coach at least one week ahead of the tournament/game days.  As this allows time for adjustments to be made.  Any changes that happen within a week or less creates a very difficult situation for your team and your coach.  Communication and doing so in ample time is important.  We advise our coaches to enforce this with their team.
